Released 2026-10-05 · Public preview
B-Roll Archives 0.2.1 — build 5
Apple Silicon release
- Requires an Apple Silicon Mac: M1 or later. Intel Macs are not supported. - The app and bundled Claude Desktop bridge now contain arm64 executables only. - Tested platform: Apple Silicon with macOS 26.3. Earlier macOS runtime compatibility remains unverified.
App updates
- Check for Updates now uses the public preview release endpoint. - An available update shows release notes and opens its signed installer download for manual installation. - Installer files and release notes use permanent version/build URLs.
Preview access
- Fresh installation starts with onboarding and three fixed unlocked clips from your connected footage. - Remaining footage appears as locked placeholders until activation. Public purchasing is still unavailable. - Existing catalogue data and activations are retained during normal app updates.
Known limitations
- Real Finder-mounted SMB/NAS acceptance remains pending. - Twelve overview samples can miss short events; use range inspection for a narrower moment. - Native Shotlist drag ordering remains under evaluation; menu ordering works. - A rapid quit/relaunch has produced a transient cancellation notice. Quit fully before reopening. - This preview has no cloud sync, movie export, or automatic update installation.

B-Roll Archives 0.2.0 — build 4
This preview turns footage folders into a local visual library. Original videos stay in their existing folders.
Included in this preview
- Contact sheets, filename and metadata search, local visual search, and playback from a selected moment. - Collections, Favorites, notes, and Shotlists with sequence previews. - Thirteen MCP tools for compatible agents to find footage, inspect moments, create Shotlists, and refresh connected sources. - Three fixed unlocked clips without a licence. Remaining clips appear as locked placeholders; the unlocked selection stays fixed across folders, searches and relaunches. - Refresh revokes access to confirmed removed files while preserving source-offline state and saved organization.
Availability and compatibility
- Full access requires activation. Public purchasing is not configured in this preview. - The application and installer are Developer ID signed and Apple notarized. - Tested on Apple Silicon with macOS 26.3. Intel and older macOS runtime compatibility are not yet verified.
Known limitations
- Finder-mounted NAS connection controls are present, but real SMB acceptance testing is pending. - Twelve overview samples can miss brief events. Range inspection can examine a narrower moment. - Native Shotlist drag ordering remains under evaluation; menu-based ordering works. - A rapid quit/relaunch has produced a transient cancellation notice. A clean quit and restart restores browsing. - The preview does not provide cloud sync, movie export, or automatic update installation.
Every public preview and stable build includes release notes. Each version/build keeps its own installer, checksum and notes; publishing a new version does not replace the previous files.
Check the download page for the current installer, tested compatibility and preview terms. New versions are installed manually; automatic installation is not provided.
