Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Dreamlab Solutions LLC (“we”, “us”), the developer of B-Roll Archives (the “app”). By downloading, installing, activating or using the app, or by using brollarchives.com, you agree to these terms. If you use the app on behalf of a company, you confirm that you can accept these terms for it.

The free preview

You can download the app without a licence. The free preview unlocks three fixed clips from your own library for seven days, starting when the first usable preview finishes preparing. Preview contact sheets and exports are watermarked. When the preview ends, your originals, organization and cached work are kept, and you can activate a licence at any time.

Licences

A licence is a one-time purchase that does not expire. Each pack covers 1, 2 or 5 Macs active at the same time, and you receive one key per pack to use on each covered Mac. A licence counts Macs, not people. You may use the app for personal and commercial work.

You can move an activation by deactivating a Mac in the app and activating the same key on another. Activation, validation and deactivation require an internet connection. An activated Mac keeps working offline.

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app under these terms. We and our licensors keep all rights in the app, this website and the B-Roll Archives name.

Purchases and refunds

Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record and handles payment, taxes and invoices under its own terms. Prices are shown in USD on the pricing page; taxes may apply at checkout.

You can request a refund within 14 days of purchase by emailing [email protected] with your order details. Do not send your licence key. A refunded licence is deactivated, and Macs using it lose full access after their next online licence check.

Downloads and notarization

B-Roll Archives is distributed as a DMG from this website, not through the Mac App Store. Every release is signed with our Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple before it is offered for download. This website will not publish a download for a release that has not been signed and notarized. Notarization is Apple’s automated check for malicious software; it is not an App Store review. The download page lists the SHA-256 checksum of the current installer so you can verify your copy. Only install the app from this website.

Updates

All future updates are included with a licence. Updates can add, change or remove features. We do not promise any particular feature, release schedule or compatibility with future versions of macOS or hardware. Check the download page for current requirements; the app requires an Apple Silicon Mac.

Your footage

Your footage remains yours. The app reads the folders and drives you connect, leaves the originals in place, and stores its catalog, previews and visual index on your Mac. We do not receive your footage through the app’s core features. You are responsible for having the right to use the footage you catalog and anything you export or share from it.

The app is not a backup. Cached previews are not copies of your videos. Keep independent backups of your originals.

Agent connections

The optional agent server lets compatible AI clients on your Mac retrieve catalog information, frames and timestamp links. Those clients, and any provider they send data to, operate under their own terms. If you expose the server beyond your Mac, for example through a tunnel, you are responsible for securing that access.

Third-party services

The app and this website rely on services such as Lemon Squeezy for checkout and licensing. Optional analytics and email features use other providers. How each service handles data is described in our privacy information. We are not responsible for third-party services, which have their own terms.

Affiliate program

Participation in the affiliate program is subject to approval, the program details on that page and Lemon Squeezy’s affiliate terms.

Disclaimer

The app and this website are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, that visual search will find every moment in your footage, or that every file format, codec, drive, network share or Mac configuration will work. Our release notes and documentation describe what has and has not been verified.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, footage, profits or business. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app or this website is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

Ending these terms

You can stop using the app at any time. We may end or suspend a licence if you materially breach these terms, for example by sharing or reselling keys. Sections that by their nature should survive, including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law, continue after these terms end.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Albany County, New York, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will change the effective date above, and material changes will be noted on this page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms. Changes do not take away a licence you have already purchased.
